Do these look like Welsummers? Some of the pics look like them, but others don't...

I've heard you can tell their sex as day olds...how? and what do you think they are?

p.s. let me know if you need a different picture to tell...

I am so awful; I was thinking the same thing.

Have you been able to find any good pics of Welsummer chicks to compare yours with?

They look like the welsummers I just hatched....and based on what I could find about sexing them, they both look like girls. The girls head & eye markings are very dark & defined while the males are a little blurred. If I can get the pics loaded, I will post mine later...

the one next to the waterer looks purebred to me

wink

I have no idea. sorry. im no help! im getting some on the 25th!!!

Like I said some of the pics look like them, but others have almost all dark brown heads...maybe that's because they are girls?!? I hope so...

Yes the ducklings are actually ducklings, not chicks

You guys are soooooooo silly!

I remember reading somewhere that you can make a shot at the gender by color; a male is a brighter red color, the females are often brown. This is what I think, I could be totally wrong though.

If welsummer girls get combs that big by six weeks, I would be surprised. I have never had them though, so I suppose it could be.
