I built my coop and exercise run, but needed to build some type of separator for the little chicks to be in to transition outside. I had a ton of supplies left over from other projects/from tearing down a building so I built them this today.

Thanks Oreo was standing on top of it trying to figure out how to get to them lol. They finally relaxed a little and left them alone when they realized they couldn't get to them. I made a hatch on the left side at the top so I can latch it and unlatch to access the feed/water to clean.

I know it's not pretty. I don't have paint or anything and needed something quick. Thanks for reminding me to add paint to my home depot list though!

Thanks aart My little ones seem to appreciate being able to be outside without being attacked right now

I figured functionality was more important, I can pretty it up later. I built the neighbor's ducks a makeshift nesting box last night using a plastic storage bin, chicken wire, exacto knife, and my staple gun. They didn't have anywhere to go to get away from the dogs.
