Hello! I have 4 Buffs and 2 BO/RIR's. I came to this site because I lost one of my girls suddenly today and had no explanation. After reading the forums I'm petty sure that she was egg bound. I'm so sad, but now I'm informed. I look forward to reading all the forums. We love our eggs. Can't imagine killing and eating one of my own. I told my husband they will die happy at an old age, or now as I've learned, egg bound. Hopefully I will catch it early. Going to get me some calcium.

Glad you could join the flock! So sorry to hear about your loss :hugs Losing flock members can be heartbreaking, I've shed quite a few tears over lost birds and never thought I would. Good luck with the rest of your birds in the future.
