A.T. Hagan :

Only ten eggs at a time? Far too few.

You should not look at anything that holds less than twenty eggs and you'll soon outgrow that.

In fact I think you should eliminate the preliminaries and just go straight to a cabinet incubator like I did.

Don't know how well that would go over!! We ahve only had chickens, nine, begining last July. Not really sure if we want to REALLY get into the raising chicks. Afraid what that may start...

I hear you! I went with the Brinsea Mini Eco. It was a good compromise to my husband that I'd only be able to hatch so many chicks at a time. In the end, I figured that size is good for now, and if "need be" I can always sell it and get a bigger one. Have fun shopping!!

well, you can get a bigger one, and when you're done with it sell it, or put i away... it's a small price difference, and you will get more for your money... also, what if you get all roo's...? it has happened... LOL... might as well incubate at least 30 and keep the 9 nicest hens... amirite...????

and once you're setup for chicks, later on it will just become like your daily life... LOL...

and i wouldn't worry if i were you... you aren't breeding... most of the people here are into breeding and need huge incubators... they act like they are addicted, but it's just their hobby...
