Check out this duck egg! Its day 24, so almost lockdown, and it definitely didnt look like that last night. I'm sure that means internal pip, but anyone see anything like that before without even candling? I was curious so I candled and saw the duckling moving around, and confirmed internal pip. I also saw in another area of the egg, a small bit of blood (like, red) looked like a blood vessel tore a bit. I candled the other ducks and most have internally pipped but none quite so.. visibly.

Interesting, Raisinpaw! I don’t know what it means except maybe some of the blood or fluid leaked into the air cell, darkening it? Maybe someone else will happen along and know more...:pop

Locking down tomorrow. I candled again after turning. No more movement. I actually see a little more blood. I think it's a goner. Oh well. Theres a reason I always set more eggs than I ultimately want!
