Sorry that you might have lost that embryo! Maybe it pipped through a blood vessel? It’s great that your others are making themselves heard - best of hatching luck!

One eager little duck pipped before lockdown! Found it Thursday night when I was intending to lockdown Friday morning. Waited about a full 24 hrs to hatch and came out perfect looks to be a pekin. I'm expectingperkins, rouens, and/or mixes of the 2. doing well, looks great this morning. One more duckling has started the zip (by the bill color, either a rouen or mix..yay! Fun to have vatiety) and one of the chicks has pipped. (Its day 19 for the chicks)

I see another duck egg that has the funky coloring and dark streaks, this time at the small end. Maybe it's easier to see when this happens to ducks because the shells are more translucent?

Aww, what a beautiful baby!!!! I was just wondering about your hatch. I’m so glad that it’s goign well and that your duckling is healthy! Thanks for the update!

The one that hatched (2 now!) Isnt the one with the dark area on the shell. Pretty sure that ones a goner

Heres my final hatch! Presumably. Got 1 more not internally pipped but still alive waiting on. 18 chicks and 3 ducklings. That red bulb sure messes up the lighting/color
