I can't believe how fast they grow!!!

My three little chicks arrived Tuesday from chickensforbackyards.com and I can't believe how much they've grown already. Even my boyfriend ("chickens?!??!?") commented on how they've changed.

I took them out of the brooder for a little "mommy" time this morning. I lay down on the floor with them and they curled up under my "wing" and started dozing off. It's a good thing I got excessed from my job so I can be home to enjoy this...

Then they practiced their free range skills:

It is amazing isn't it...you have to take weekly pics to remind yourself what they were...

one of my EE pullets at 2 days old...

now at 16 weeks.....wow!

Yup, mine are hitting the teenage stage and had their first outing yesterday. Lots of scratching and dust baths in the sunshine.

Wow. Some beautiful girls there! I was so confused as to what breed my teenager is, but she's the twin of your black sex link, SteveBaz. I got her about a month ago and had no idea of her age or breed.

I love to watch the chicks spread their little wings - too cute!

Well if they turn into teens at 8 weeks, I've got 3 that's going to be middle aged before they start laying.
