A month ago, I posted on here about my six year olds' operation and how that day, someone vandalized us and let our peacock, pheasants and guineas out. We recovered most of the pheasants (one still hangs around the yard, we just haven't been able to catch her yet) and the guineas were easy enough to catch back up, but I'd completely and totally LOST our black shoulder peacock. The kids had watched someone pull up in a truck and chase him across the street and into the farmers' field and could do nothing as I was still on the way home from the hosp. and my husband was staying there with our DD.

My neighbor down the road just called. They CAUGHT him!!! He said, "did you lose a peacock?" YES!! YES!! YES!!! I started to cry right then and there on the phone. I'd really given him up for lost!!! I kept telling my Dh that I thought I could hear him every evening, but I wasn't sure!!!

Anyway, we're going to go and pick our boy up here shortly. Just need to figure out something big enough to carry him in. I just really needed to post about it!!!

BTW! My daughter is doing great. She's gained her weight back and looks like her old self. We came so close to losing her and she was so great during that whole time she had to be ill about her pains and everything else.... I feel so blessed right now!!!
