i was looking around and i see that they are selling disposable gowns to wear while in labor...ive never heard of that. they are pretty but i cant see paying that much for a disposable dress.

haven't seen those, but they issue hospital robes anyway to give birth in - basic one-size-fits-no-one things! I've also seen the disposable knickers for the lochia, are they worth it?

KellyHM, it's one thing to let people use a room that you aren't needing, but it's completely different to have them there when you DO need the room now. And why aren't they helping out and paying their way? that's just taking advantage of you. Tell them they HAVE to be gone by the end of the month or give you a date within the next month (with proof) of when they can move into their new home.

I'm back! Appointment was good, BP was 122/76. I've gained about 23 pounds total, which stinks, but none of the doctors have fussed at me about it, so that's good. The baby's heartbeat was good and I'm measuring right. No need for an ultrasound today, darn it.

okay i am not sure so i need your opinions, i was sitting in a chair today and i felt this swoosh feeling in my stomach so i pressed where i felt it and waited a second and it did it again 2 times! almost like butterflies were there, was this the baby moving?? i am 15 weeks? it was the most weird sensation i have ever felt, i know it wasnt gas at least it wasnt gas i have ever felt before?

so what does it feel like to feel the baby move for the first time?

it could very well have been the baby moving!

thats how it has felt with all of mine at any rate.

those desposable underpants they give you are so uncomfortable but at first, it does help with all the blood that comes out and all of that..after the first day though i dont think they are necessary.

robin, that's great! shame about not having an ultrasound though

GAChknGirl, I'm jealous coz I haven't felt anything yet!

motherof5boys1girl, I had to wear paper undies at a hospital when I had a cranial angiogram - they just felt weird. Not so much uncomfortable as extremely odd. Are the disposables like that?

they are made of a net fabric...they look ridiculous but they stick a giant paper pad in them and slip them on after the placenta comes out.
i wish i were only feeling flutters..this little guy is just kicking me to death it seems..i bet he will have big feet like his mom and dad.

Just like that!

BTW, try papaya extract, extra B vitamins, and smaller meals throughout the day, plus try to drink grapefruit juice (I know it sounds bad but it will help!). You can safely take extra B vitamins, you body will flush the extra out. I took one every 2 hours when I felt sick and that was just the regular B complex from the store.

Good luck!
