Super congrats! Is it fun entering these fairs? Do ya need expensive or exotic birds? (Expensive? Good lord, what am I saying?) Did you have to leave them overnight?

No you don't have to have expensive or exotic birds, most people there entered birds like buff orpingtons, rhode island reds, ect. All you need to do is get the birds vaccinated once a year, like cats and dogs, and the vet comes to your house and it is very cheap, only a dollar a bird, and the vet put idenifacation rings on their legs and your all set. And yes depending on how long the fair is you do leave them there over night. It is so much fun when you go to pick them up and you see the ribbons on their cages. The people that work at the fair feed and water them so there is no worry about that. You should enter your birds in a local, you'll be surprised about which birds will win, I deffiently was when my dominique got champion! Good Luck, Sophia.
