Ok, so we ordered a bunch of chicks at the beginning of april, but they were late, so we only got them yesterday. Our van is acting kinda weird, so Mom waited until my dad got home to go pick them up. (no, they were not just sitting there at the feed store all day, we asked a friend whom you all know as ember.opal to pick them up for us. But while mom was gone yesterday evening, a neighbor showed up holding a giant peeping box!!!!!!! A different feed store than the one we ordered from was getting rid of all the chicks for 50 cents a piece!! So he got, like, 200, and brought us 42. So there I am, with 42 chicks in the dining room having a nervous breakdown when mom comes home. I guess she had talked to him about "yeah, we might want some.... Let me get back to you about that...." he interpreted that as meaning, "yeah, sure! Bring over 42 this evening!!" gah!! So now I have 70 chicks and a stocktank (yes, a 100 gallonstock tank) in my dining room. But they were a great price, 50 cents for 2 week old pullets!!
