I Can't Get Bator to Set Temp

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to set the temperature on my incubator (Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco). It will not stay steady on 99.5. It will go down to about 98.7, then go up to 100.1. It just keeps going back and forth like this since yesterday. I haven't put any of my eggs in yet. Is this OK, or should I keep trying to get it at 99.5?

Someone please help me. I'm not sure if I should put the eggs in or not. I have another bator I can set up, but I still have to wash it and sterilize it and not sure what that one will do. They've been packed away for a while.

that is what 99% of incubators do. that will put the temp of the inside of the egg around 99.5. you should be fine with that the eggs do not fluctuate nearly as fast as the air around them does.
