i cant seem to hatch anything

OMY GOODNESS! NICE setup cmom! I really want one of those brooders! And that's a lot of chicks! I also have a sportsman and LOVE it~!

i am having the same problem here. i am so disgusted!! i can't hatch a darn thing! i am using a little giant now.
i had a different styro foam bator about 2 years ago. i did okay with that one, but still not hatching at the rate i think i should be. i think it was by gqf. it started having temp spikes, then then heating element went out. i always hated that it was made of styrofoam. it was so easily damaged.

i am ready to get a dependable sturdy bator!
i am a hobbist and just hatch for fun. i sell my chicks, but i never make a profit.

i have spent hundreds of dollars thru the years on hatching eggs. it just makes me sick!

the cabinet styles are interesting, but its hard to justify spending that kind of money for a hobby!
i have entertained that idea, that if i invest in a cabinet model. my hatch rate might improve enough that i could hatch and sell, maybe someday at least break even!

any advice or suggestions are much welcomed!

well my LG are mastered really and during my first hatch with one i had a bad hatch too i didnt know the humidity either if you live near a TSC you can buy a hydrometer for $2.99 its indoor/outdoor you just set it on top of the eggs its accurate for me i bought 3 for each of my LG bators and are you setting the eggs in the turner pointed end down? on my first 5 hatchs i didnt know i had them in upside down i must have lost about 80 chicks with unknown humidity as well and yeah i messaged Cmom about that brooder it is nice i told my mom i want to build mine just like that ^_^

Improper humidity levels will affect chicks in a $1000 incubator as well.
Her first post states her chicks died before lockdown with thick membranes.
I've had 100% hatches using an LG.
Please don't automatically assume its all the incubators fault.
I know of no way that raising humidity after death helping chicks to hatch.
If anyone has experience doing this I'd love to know.

my guess is your humidity needs adjusting, we all learn from trial and error. diffrent times of the year require diff. humidity strategies. i love the brooder, i had one similar to that that i made from the sheets of white smoothe finished paneling from home depot. the panels were for the back and sides with the white side facing in. the front had screen just like yours. the enclosed back and sides helped to control the dust generated by the chicks.

i have worked and worked on my humidity, no positive results.

i gave up on my little giant and ordered a cabinet yesterday. should be here by next wednesday. we will see how my hatching future goes!
