I can't tell if my silkie is laying

from my knowledge both my silkie hens are about a year old. I am certain that my brown is laying brown eggs roughly every other day. I have see the color of her egg as soon as she left the coop. my white one has only laid 3 eggs because hers are white. but this last week I had a back to back egg day, and again yesterday and today both brown egg days. is it possible that the white one laid a brown egg or has the brown one been busy?
