I caught a snake, I need names!!!

I LOVE snakes! Reptiles are my second favorite animals, chickens are my first. He is a pretty nice black racer, he has only bit me seven times, tame for the breed. I can’t think of a name, help me please. I think it’s a boy btw, 2 1/2 feet and 1 inch.

I think you should let it go. It's wild. Why would you want to take it from it's home?

If I were you I would let him be free in the wild. I love snakes too, and catching them is really fun, however I believe snakes are happier in the wild.

There have been people spraying chemicals and killing them, I do catch and release btw.

There have been so many snakes dead, it’s unbelievable! And he was scarred up when i found him. I am saving him.

I love snakes! If you're sure that keeping him is doing him good, I'd like to recommend the name noodle.

If you really are keeping him, you need to make sure you're ready to accept the responsibility. the black racer has a pretty big range in it's diet, ranging from insects to moles. make sure you can provide a natural diet and habitat, keeping in mind that this IS a wild animal.

He's a beauty. I'd probably call him Ebon. Poetically used to describe ebony, defined as dark brown or black.
