Isn't it something else? I wish we had the money - I would have that thing roaring in my driveway in no time flat!!!

Does it run well or would you have to put time and money into it?

Maybe Santa can bring it to you?

OK, the update.

This morning when it was light enough out I tried to see where the leak was coming from. No luck, too much stuff in the way. I did notice when I poured water into the overflow it just began leaking out. Hmmm. That got me to thinking maybe it was simple, a blown hose?

HA!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's the whole freaking radiator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RUSTED OUT!

How can that be? The car is just 8 years old.

They could not finish it today and now I am stranded praying they can fix it by COB tomorrow.

And no, it is not a cheap fix, spendy Vermont- $400 gets the job done.

I am going to need to sell a lot of eggs to pay for this.

Stuff like this just sucks, doesn't it?

My father and my husband are both mechanically inclined, so there are never any trips to a mechanic for us. Thank goodness, because who can afford it?

I really like being self sufficient, but it is impossible to do so with cars anymore. When I was a kid a soup can, a coat hanger or duct tape always fixed it! Not anymore!
