I have had so much going on in my life. I was out of work from October to now, my husband lost one of his jobs a year ago and was on partial unemployment until last week. (Actually the time his unemployment shut off was the time I got my job, so that's something.) I am having issues with my mortgage company and I just found out after fighting with the insurance company for this past year that, even though they now believe we were married, they are not going to cover my $5276 medical bill because they don't cover "mental and nervous disorders, except severe mental illness." So I guess I had to actually put a knife to my skin, hear voices, see stuff or try to drown my kids to get them to cover my bills. *Disclaimer, I would never, never, never harm my kids, I am just venting*

So I am asking for good thoughts, or whatever you believe to work, I am just about at the end of what I can take.

Thank You

Sorry sune.

I hope things start to look up for you soon!

Well, it sounds like you have had a heck of a time. I'm so sorry. And sorry that you have to deal with medical bills on top of everything else. Coming from someone who knows! Do 50$ a month or whatever until it is paid off. And don't think about unless you are doing your monthly payment. But good luck in getting the job just as DH's unemployment ran out. What goes down, must come up. Fact of life. Good times are ahead.

PS I don't know how much squeak you have left in you but sometimes in the case of insurance the squeaky wheel really does get the grease. You could try to petition if you have the energy for it. I think (know) they deny claims routinely hoping that you'll just get discouraged and quit. You may be able to get something? I sure hope so.

Sune, sometimes life can kick you when you are down. I am so sorry you are going through all this, and then bad news piled on top of bad news. I have a saying I do my best to live by (not always easy, nor does it always work):

When life hands you lemons, make a lemon pie and eat the whole danged thing yourself.

Sune, I am so very sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time. Life can be very harsh sometimes.
Try and keep your chin up, hunny.

Things will get better. I am a firm believer that you never get handed more than you can handle even though it may seem that way at the time. Hold on to your faith and stick together with those you love. You will make it through this and be stronger for it.

Have you talked to a bankruptcy attorney yet? If you only have one medical bill, its not worth it, but if you have a lot more debt, its worth the free consultation.

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. It means a lot to me. I plan on calling the insurance company tomorrow and tell them I got their crazy right here, lol. I will be very squeaky.
