ok, another day...another egg...so far the so good, not really thinking about candling...and as long as I think that way...the better, means I will leave the eggs alone,

and my temp/humidity levels wont go down from me opening the bator to cancle...

I have had the temp spike on me to 104.4 when I had a migraine and fell asleep a few days ago (it's a still air bator so the higher temp wouldn't do as much damage as it would in a forced air bator) and I woke up to it being 98.2 yesterday morning after DH turned the ac down to keep it cool in here (he didn't know I was the one who was changing it).. But other than that, the temp has been staying between 100.4 and 101.8.. Of course, that all depends on the temp in the house..

As far as I've read, you *CAN* candle everyday if you choose to as long as you don't have the eggs out for longer than 20-30 minutes.. Even the momma hen will get off the next daily to do her thing... And, actually the eggs have less of a chance to cool down in my house because I am candling them in the utility room (wash room).. It has a door to close it off from the rest of the house and evidently there was a really bad leak with the old water heater because there is no floor under the new one.. Just a few boards holding it up.. It stays pretty humid in there too... I was going to put the bator in there originally but it gets much too hot during the day...

yes, this time we're together, mine doing well.

actually, i'm not too satisfied with those eggs since this kind of breed is "arabian chicks" so they don't have a good body immune and defense like my "village chicks" after this hatch i will buy "village chicken" eggs so i can have bunch of high defense and immunity chicken later.

yes, i have also think about it, but it's "horrible" to sell my first time experience hatching chicken, isn't it?

maybe this arabic can be my "mascot"/ base to keep.

i just know a man who sell village chicken eggs two days ago since many people here don't want to sell their village chicken eggs cause it's hard to obtain them, for arabic and european eggs i can easily buy thousand

since my friend have a chicken "farm". but still, the best and the toughest chick that can survive hot and cold and those mosquitoes over night without feather (like my girls) is village chicken. the roost always fight to defend their "attitude".

terri, i'm afraid of my duck eggs, i know that many will think that's boring to hear my "feeling" about my duck eggs but i hope you won't.

if they can survive, then i will not so worry anymore with my chicken eggs. but they haven't. it still 10 days more. i can't wait so long.

edit : just candled 10 from 29 total eggs. wew, i can't believe it, i saw 9 are having the red vein. only one seem to failed since i see no vein and the shell is "porous".
