Here we are, day 13... Alex and I candled the remaining 8 eggs and still didn't see anything in the two in question so i decided to go ahead and take them out. We also found that one of the others had died sometime since yesterday so we took it out also, leaving us with 5 happy moving embryos. We cracked the three eggs open. The first one was one of the clear ones. It looks as if it had started developing but stopped somewhere around day 5 with the others.. Why we never saw a bloodring, I'm not sure.. The other just had a small spot so i don't think it developed more than a day or two.. Again, it didn't have a bloodring either... The third one was the one that was moving yesterday but had a bloodring today. Alex was sad to see it dead but was amazed at the same time when he saw the little beak.. I did find it unusual that it actually didn't look like a 13 day old embryo. It had no beginnings of feathers or fuzz that I noticed, the legs were not long with feet either.. They looks more like long stubs.. From the looks of it, it actually looked like it had only developed for about 11 days.. Not really sure what to make of that.. But, we have 5 days til lock down now and 5 eggs remaining...
