I did it...how can I do it better next time?

Monday I processed three Muscovies, and a few weeks ago I did some Delawares. I do not have a killing cone--but I do have duct tape, which I use to tape their wings closed before hanging them. The tape peels off easily after the birds are dead (and before scalding.)

ALSO--after cutting around the cloaca, I use a twisty tie to keep everything contained before scooping out the innards.

This is not my original idea, and I have not tried it yet. I've been reading and watching all the vids I can find in prepapation for my own freezer camp day. I read where someone uses an air compressor w/ a small nozzle, putting that in the neck between the skin and flesh and pinches the neck skin firmly and "blows" the skin up like a balloon, severing all the connective tissues allowing all the skin to come off very easily. Don't know if it will work, or help you, but it is what I'm going to try when I do mine.
