That's actually good. When I ordered my chicks from Ideal they took 3 weeks to ship them. I ordered in early spring though so I guess demand was high.

Well, all yall better be ready next week to see some duckys and chickys! I still would like to know when ducklings are old enough to go for a swim and I its also possible I might be getting and extra chick.

A week is nothing. It took 3 weeks for my order , I guess they had to call on the duck hatch. Good luck. It is so much fun to pick up that box from the PO!! There was a lady who heard my box peeping nad she just had to look at them. And if you never had one, the baby ducks are just so precious! They really grow fast!! Enjoy

I think little ducks can take a dip at like a week old, but only for a few minutes, perhaps in the bathroom sink, and you have to be sure to dry them and get them under the heat soon.

When broodies raise them, they are usually in puddles and such at a couple of days. I let mine swim in the tub at 4 days old and than I blow dry them.
