I've been talking about it for months; I finally went and done it!

I'm signed up on my local cheapcycle site. Today I saw this ad "Moving and must sell my goat herd". I opened the ad and read that she had the two breeds of goats that I wanted (nubian and boer). I gave her a call and she gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. Sooooo I went and bought some goats!

I intended to buy 3 boer nannies, 1 boer buck, and a nubian doe. But I got there and fell in love with an alpine doeling she had. I came home with the alpine doeling, 1 boer nanny with her buckling (white with red hood), and a solid red boer yearling.

She had a very friendly nubian nanny that I really wanted too. I told myself only 1 milker so I had to chose between the nubian or the alpine. Since one of the boers had a 2.5 month old buckling I chose to take the 3 month old alpine so that he would have someone to play with.

I also found another great deal on two more boer doelings. They're 7 months old and would be a great addition to my herd. I'll go pick them up next weekend.

All of my boers are white with red hoods (even the two I haven't picked up yet) except the one solid red one. I would like to find a white buck with a black hood so I can add some black to my herd. But they seem to be hard to find.

I've seen some black nubians with white moon spots that I'd just love to have. If I come across one at the right price I'll pick her up.
