I sure hope so. I have another in there that is been pipped all day, partly zipped to and it is still like that. I can see it in there moving all scrunched up, and I keep thinking he should be coming out. Especially since it has been like that all day, and others have pipped, zipped and hatched, and he is still like that.

sometimes when they bleed the chick becomes week and don't show signs untill they are hatched and in the brooder. Then one day just gets week and quits eating and then passes. This is what happened to me, so now I don't even open the incubator untill babies are fluffy. I just forget it untill I see little ones running around.

My very first hatch I got so impatient and decided to help 6 chicks out of seven to hatch. I lost one but the others all turned out ok. The one I lost was so upsetting that I vowed I would not help again. Now I just let them do their thing. If I lose one at least I know it wasnt because I intervened!

I checked constantly to make sure it was still breathing and moving. In about 18 hours it "hatched". I did have to use a wet cloth to get the rest of the egg lining off. It had dried and the poor chick started to panic cause I guess it thought it was still in the shell.
