I have lost a couple of chickens to what ever is causing the white butt, lethargic, doesn’t groom, eats a little. I have tried everything in my first aid kit and I am still losing my chickens. See photos. Any advice?

Does that stink? It looks like vent gleet.

Unless they've had this for quite a length of time, it's usually not deadly. If this is what it is, they need probiotics and monistat.

For the monistat, generic is fine. Bathe their butts, dry, and rub some of that cream on their vents. If you can do that three times a day for a few days, that'll take care of it. They can also have a little bit of the cream orally.

I'd get some powdered probiotics for their water, like Hydro-Hen or others. A few times a week for a few weeks and then once or twice a week thereafter to maintain. Greek yogurt is also good, or fermenting grains is high probiotics too.

Make sure they are not getting flystrike. Trim their butt fluff carefully, wash them and get a good look at their vents to make sure they do not have maggots. This is fly larva, where flies have laid eggs in, on or around their vents. If so, remove the maggots and clean them up, flystrike can certainly be deadly.

Sorry for your loss. There are a couple of red areas where the hen is being feather picked by a bully. Do you have a rooster? Have you seen any vent damage to the ones you have lost? The best way to know what is killing your hens is to get a necropsy by your state vet on one if you should lose another, and spend time watching your flock as they free range and get on the roost in evening. Here is a list of state poultry vets to contact:
