I just noticed one of my duck eggs has a dark area where the air sack is. What is this? It doesn’t look good to me....

You should be ok if you take it out quickly. But if there is no external pips you will be fine taking it out and candling you just have to be quick if you need to candle after an external pip has happened.

Do it super duper quickly. And try to close the lid when you do.
