Oh my gosh I laughed so hard!!
Nicole01, we catch monarch caterpillars too! We got 3 this year -- 1 ran away repeatedly until we finally couldn't find it, 2 formed their chrysalides (looked that one up...), but only 1 of those lived. The other one's milkweed leaf died and we had to lay it down. That's probably why it hatched all crooked and deformed.
Ah... I'm so glad I'm not alone! I used to catch snakes too. Not anymore, mainly because the last time I touched one, it left a gross white goo which stunk to high heaven and would not wash off. But they're still cool.
sonew123, I chop and stack wood too, as well as chop ice off the roof! Haven't gone hunting yet... My dad doesn't hunt and I am not old enough to get a license for it. I'd like to sometime though.
chickendiva25, yes, frogs are absolutely amazing!
I've built forts, waded barefoot through our creek, caught crayfish, held a fish my cousin caught (fish mouths are not as interesting as frog mouths), chased the calf through 2 acres of tall grass (not the easiest thing)... Yeah. I like doing boyish things. And if you were to compare me to my girl cousins... Well, they freak out at the sight of a chicken, scream atthe mention of the word "snake," spend the majority of their time texting 24/7, won't get closer than 25 feet to the cow, and nearly puked when they saw the pigs. Sometimes I think,
"Am I related??"
Yeah....
You aren't old enough?? All the youngins in the family have their licenses??? MMM The youngest was 12 a few years ago when she got hers and shot her first deer a few weeks later??? How old are you??
Really?? I had no idea you could be that young... Well then, I take that back! I
am old enough to get a license, but I don't have a gun and haven't gotten my license yet.
