I dodged the chicken math bullet! My local ace had buy a bag of starter feed, $13.50 and get 10 FREE chicks. (leg horn st run) I already have some new RIR's and turkeys on order. Without that I am sure I would have caved.

I think I would've taken them and listed them on Craigslist to recoup the cost of the feed.

Good for you for having willpower!

Our TSC has a 6 chick minimum, so that pretty much stops me from buying since I do not need that many (right now).

And I never buy straight run since they're usually 80% roos anyway at the stores.
