What breed are these birds? They are supposed to be 2 months, and they are big. I bought them from some one last week, and am wondering if they are what she said they are.

You might want to wait on the BBQ, and see what some EE people say...lol. Maybe they are the result of someone trying to crossbreed for EEs.
Can you tell what their combs will look like, it's hard for me to tell from the pic?
But they look like my teenage hatchery cornishes did at that age...I was kinda let down too, but I am in the process of getting better birds. So maybe I will have a happy ending...lol.
Dark cornish chickens have pea combs and bright yellow legs - that's what yours look like to me, but a sideview/full bodyshot would help. I believe dark cornish can be used as egg layers - not real prolific layers, but they are not just meat birds like the cornish X.
My dark cornish girls lay almost every day, probably because of the cross breeding the hatchery might have done a few generations back to increase egg production. I just love the breed, but sure is hard to find some good ones that are close to breed standard.
