The chick looks more chocolate in these pictures. Though I think chocolate is usually a bit darker. This is a tough one.Hey they are in natural light

My thoughts too…. Almost mauve. I researched a bit and chocolate should theoretically be darker but I’m not convinced it’s blue. I swear I saw a bird on here recently that I was also wondering about being chocolate or blue and I don’t believe I’ve been this on the fence in the past… I wonder if there’s any chance hatcheries are selling mauves/starting to without labeling them. Hoover’s has been known to do similar things in the past and they do breed both chocolate and blues. My guess is still chocolate howeverThe chick looks more chocolate in these pictures. Yeah, mauve is usually lighter, but it can come in different shades just like blue.My thoughts too…. Almost mauve. Ok thats interesting. Still orpington though just either blue, chocolate or mauve. I really doubt they are chocolate the pics don't do the gray color they are justice but I could see mauve being possible.Yeah, mauve is usually lighter, but it can come in different shades just like blue.
(To clarify for the OP, mauve is blue chocolate)
