I need to know which of my chicks are boys so I don't bond with them! Probably too late. Do any of you have problems getting rid of the boys?

I try not to bond with any of my chickens....i know not the norm around here, but i do this for a living.....meager one at that

I bond with all my babies and sell the extra boys to 4H kids. The kids LOVE the tame roos, so it works out well for both of us. I get to enjoy all the chicks and watch them go to good homes, and the kids get a friendly roo for showmanship or show. Tame roosters sell no problem.

The boys seem to have the best personalities when they are little. I have a three step method for getting rid of them:
1. I give mine for free to people who are buying hens from me and don't have a flock rooster,
2. then I advertise the rest for 10.00 each as breeders,
3. then those that are left I unfortunately sell for 5.00 each for butcher.
Next year we are going to have all of them butchered for us to eat . . . I can handle it . . . i think.
