Thanks for all of the information. You all have helped me decide that I really don't want ducks, right now at least. If I'm going to get another animal that requires a lot of care, I think I'll go with goats. Since we have so many wild ducks in our area, I just thought they might be lower maintenance, but that's not the case, apparently. I really appreciate all of the input.
