I don't think it's a bumble, but I need more opinions.

Hello all. This foot actually belongs to a nearly-2-month-old turkey. I've named her Goose.

Anyway, about 1 or 1 1/2 weeks ago I was soaking her bum for vent gleet. As I was drying her off I found this:

My very first thought was that it was bumblefoot. But it wasn't a scab and upon further inspection, it was obvious something was sticking out and HARD. Like..rock hard. I don't know how hard pus kernels are, but are they rock hard? There was light bleeding around the opening but zero oozing of other liquids and no swelling. I wrapped it with neosporin, gauze, and vet wrap. Next morning I checked on it and then the toe was obviously bruised and swollen. So to me it seemed more like it was an exposed bone break/dislocation or something. I have no idea how it happened if that's what it is.

After a few days of neosporin and wrapping not helping, I decided to treat as bumble in case it WAS bumble...so I switched to PRID and wrapping. After 2 days of that it looked like this:

Rewrapped with PRID for another 2 days and check again. Same color but it seemed to be smaller. Thinking I was on the right track, I removed what I thought was going to be a top layer of pus, but it turned out to be more of a yellow-y scab. The tissue beneath was red and spongy. No pus anywhere, but it started bleeding again.

So now I've rewrapped her toe with PRID and intend to keep doing that for a while to see what happens. She isn't, and never was, limping on the foot. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I'm just nuts and it IS a bumble? How hard is the bumble kernel usually? Am I correct in thinking it's NOT actually bumble?

Thank you.

I am interested to know too, I think that picture and the description of what you are finding are very clear! I bet someone else may look to see what you did and how the foot reacted if in a similar situation!
