I dont think this possum is going to come around anymore*pic**GRAPHIC*

Is that a hay shovel pick you used for the possum?

I killed one with a three prong hay fork and it was NASTY, ugly thing ever! Until my dad popped the possum with a .22 shot, he grabbed it by the tail, out fell three babies. I didn't see all this happening since I was checking around the barn for more. He tossed all of them out in the farmer's field, babies and all. Later that night, an owl finished the babies off.

Thank goodness you were able to save your chickens before anything bad happened to them.

Cripes, that's a scary looking critter. Looks like something you'd find coming out on a Halloween night. Lookit those TEETH.

I catch possums, raccoons, woodchucks and skunks in the live trap with Twinkies. It's the best bait I have ever used. They seem to find them irresistible! Another perk is that most of the barn cats don't like them so I don't end up with angry cats in the live trap.

I think the Coyote is one step above the Possum and I am on the hunt for YOTEs. I have my reasons.

I think that people have a sense of revenge or at least getting even with a creature that has harmed us in one way or another.

Granted, showing an possum skewed may not be the best for this forum, but some find it otherwise.

I have NEVER let a Possum resume it's life when I run across them.

I rehome racoons, groundhogs and muskrats. I know, one is NOT suppose to do this.

I have a softy for a wife, but she HATES possums and weasles.

Skunks, they leave me alone and do not make a home under my barn, they are left alone. Otherwise they are dispatched.

I can not believe you got close enough to that nasty possum to kill it with a hay fork! There's no way i could done that! I'm glad you don't have to worry about that one anymore! We have a few packs of coyotes around here, snakes, and the usual suspects, but we've never had a "break in"... keeping my fingers crossed!
