Well, I built a little 6x3 enclosure for their field trips. It's a little tricky because there is no door but I put them in their brooder box and then very gently tipped it over so they could explore.
They are so so happy outside! It's a nice warm day (90 degrees) but I have them in the shade and it's a little breezy. They have so much more space compared to their little brooder.

It's a shame I have to put them back in it

I wish I could just leave them outside!!

How many more weeks until I can just keep them outside? I hopefully will be getting their real coop very soon. Over night temps are 56 and increasing..

(Btw.. the yellowish one isn't a Roo is it? "She" seems to stand up taller than the other two lol)

How old are they? We put ours outside at about 6 weeks- BUT- it was later in the year last year. It's still cold here in Maine at night- but you can still use the heat lamp, if it's safe enough.

Hi: Mine are between 3 -4 weeks and I have put them out in the coop and run. The entire area is completely enclosed with harware cloth and I have an electric light that comes on at about 1AM. Here, like AZ it is very warm during the day and they can run around all day. We put them in the coop at sunset and they are fine through the night. Here it may get down to 63 at night but the lamp gives them warmth if they need it. They come running out as soon as we open the door in the morning. Don
