When I was at the tack shack to pick up feed and shavings I over heard a family discussing which chicks to get. From the sounds of it, they knew the basics, but were clueless on what each breed was. I was able to show them which chick is which, what they look like when they grow up, thier "personalities", how good at laying eggs ect! I felt so smart
I also told them about BYC, so maybe we will have a new person!. In the end they went home with 5 Barred Rock hens, 1 BR roo, 1 Buff Orp roo, and 3 buff hens. They also got a few silkies and frizzles for thier daughter.
