I felt so stupid - no knowing which were the roos

I have 12 - BR and 6 RIR - all 15 weeks. I kept wondering why I couldn't tell which of the RIR were roos. I mean, you'd think something would be different about them so they'd stand out right? I decided to just wait until the tail feathers came in and I'd know for sure. We tried for 4 hens and 2 roosters.

Guess what?

I know for a fact I have 5 roosters and possibly 6!

No wonder I couldn't tell. Guess I'm not so blond after all. lol.

Oh.. the opposite happened to me. I wanted roos and I got hens. I still need roos. Wish we lived closer.

Wish I was closer. I have the mother lode of roos growing out at a friend's to be eaten. Good quality, all of them, Copper Blue, Black and Splash marans, BLRW, Lavender Orp, Ameraucana split to lavender, Black Orps split to lavender, Mottled Javas, White Showgirls, Barred Olive eggers, Mille Fleur Cochins and black mottled split to mille fleur, Silkies in BBS and white, Cotton Patch Gander, I mean all KINDS of roos you could pilfer through if you wanted.
