I figured out the avatar thing!

I have an avatar now...just playing. We are having some cold weather here in SC PA...in the teens. My hens are not liking it. Still laying well. We have heat lamp and lightening. Still getting one wrinkley egg...any ideas on what that is about?

Good for you! I'm so computer stupid that I haven't even tried!! So it goes, just my name... nothing exciting. Any way, can it be the hen is still working out some kinks in her system?? How old is she? Is is soft shell or funky hard shell?

If it weren't for my son's help I too would be Avatarless still.
The eggs that are funky are hard shelled and have ridges/wrinkles. My hens have been laying since Oct so they are fairly new at it...we have 7 hens (reds) and get 6-7 eggs daily so egg production is great. They are in great health, very shiney. I keep them out in a fenced yard during the day and in a coop at night so they get lots of fresh air. I give them apples and tomatoes on occasion which they love. I do love my girls
