I ordered my very first incubator today. I am getting a Brower top hatch. The crazy thing is I can't have any chicks till after we move in September. Hmm, maybe I can incubate some for someone else. Also is there anyone here who makes the cozy's for them?

Congratulations! I bought my first incubator (Hovobator 1588) a few weeks ago but I haven't used it yet, mainly because now I'm wondering about vaccinating for Marek's and I'm studying how to go about doing that. What kind of chicks are you planning on getting?

I am planning on having guineas and the dual purpose breed chicks. I really like the Delawares and sussex, and some ducks to populate the pond we are hoping to have. DH is thinking he would like quail. Being new to this I will probably try several breeds till I finally choose a favorite. I feel like a kid in the ice cream store trying to pick a flavor

I saw an ad on craig's list that offered hatching for 1.00 per egg for each live hatch.
Sounded reasonable to me.....
