I finally have a flock of my own!

Sometimes apparently healthy birds just die. Since it was 10 days ago, I would guess that it was not predation or an infectious disease. Good luck.
 
I was afraid that they would all die and my kids would be distraughtdistraught but they seem to be thriving. My daughter cried all day because she was her favorite chicken. Now we are just hoping they make it through the winter without incident. I plan to add maybe 2 more in the spring. We are already totally hooked and haven't even gotten our first egg! :)
