Not true. Literally 90% of stuff I've read, which has been a lot of stuff, says kitten milk replacement as it's main thing.

Oh no! That’s just the only picture I have! I don’t have a picture of both of them. Did you put something like honey in the milk? Mine weren’t very interested in eating at all until I added some syrup. Now they stuff themselves. Maybe try some quality time with the small one with the food.
What kind of syrup? Are your's eyes open yet?
Have you been rubbing their bellies after you feed them?

Just a tiny bit of your good ol maple syrup you put on pancakes? No, nothing I read said to do that.... Their eyes are still closed.
I've read that you should rub their bellies to help them go to the bathroom...idk. I have been. Mine are young.

take kitten milk and put a little bit over some mouse pellets it looks like it is about a month its eyes will open in a week or so and you can turn it loose outside make sure it searches for its food

Mine have been going to the bathroom pretty well....I’ve seen the evidence lol
We dropped ours off at a wildlife rescue center. They said they would care for them! I hope they do well.
