My six ducks are now around 10 months old, and I knew they'd start laying soon. Today I was out walking and noticed a nest they had made by our shed, which had four eggs in it. I found another nest close by and it had one egg in it. They have been laying eggs all around the yard lately, but this is the first nest I've found. I have three boys and three girls so they most likely are always going to be fertilized. I don't know what to do with the eggs in the nest, because I don't really want any ducklings this year. I'm afraid they'll hatch the babies out, but they haven't started to sit on the eggs yet. Does anyone else have duck eggs but not want ducklings?
