I found a rooster

A few days ago, I found a rooster in the middle of Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. He was terrified and soaked in the rain. I took him home, and he's turned out to be very friendly. I want to provide the best life for him. Please let me know if you have any advice or suggestions.

perhaps you should get one or two hens. I am from ohio, and most commercial feed/ livestock places have a policy where if you buy one chicken under a certain age, you need to buy five more before leaving.
so basically, it would be good for him to have some friends

Oh you are so wonderful. Thank you for rescuing him. I love roosters and have 3. I am here to help you as you need it. I think he only needs friends if you cannot spend a few hours a day with him. Please remember that the rooster you have that is by himself is loving because he does not have a job to do. If he has hens, he will be focused on protecting them with his life. This may mean a different relationship with you.
