We pulled out all the furniture, looked behind everything , we covered holes around pipes, hey we needed to clean house any ways lol...The kids are a bit freaked out about it and now not going without shoes at all not even in the house my 9 yr old refuses to ever use that bathroom again. Good thing I have 2 bathrooms or he would be out of luck. I told them at night keep the light on in the bath room from now on and there is a stick in the hallway if they want to take that with them. We sat down and talked about being more aware of what they are doing and keeping their eyes open from now on. No more going outside alone but take someone with them in case anything happens till this heat passes. I haven't ever been afraid of snakes so it isn't that big of a deal, I find them fascinating they are awesome to me but I would never handle them with my hands. I stood at an angle it was facing the sink so if it struck high it would have hit the sink instead of me, I used a long stick to try and see what it was if it was harmless I wanted to save it and let it wrap its self around the stick then sling it outside but I heard the rattle hiss and strike it hit the stick. It was just a baby it only had 1 nob at the end of its tail.
Someone suggested we get some guineas to keep snakes away, if thats true then I will get a few guineas and keep around here.
