I found a snake and have some questions

The Snake Away smells just like mothballs and I'm not sure that it is very effective at all. It's not cheap either. But there is definitely no harm in putting some around for peace of mind. You just have to make sure there are no snakes INSIDE the perimeter !! How did it get in???

We pulled out all the furniture, looked behind everything , we covered holes around pipes, hey we needed to clean house any ways lol...The kids are a bit freaked out about it and now not going without shoes at all not even in the house my 9 yr old refuses to ever use that bathroom again. Good thing I have 2 bathrooms or he would be out of luck. I told them at night keep the light on in the bath room from now on and there is a stick in the hallway if they want to take that with them. We sat down and talked about being more aware of what they are doing and keeping their eyes open from now on. No more going outside alone but take someone with them in case anything happens till this heat passes. I haven't ever been afraid of snakes so it isn't that big of a deal, I find them fascinating they are awesome to me but I would never handle them with my hands. I stood at an angle it was facing the sink so if it struck high it would have hit the sink instead of me, I used a long stick to try and see what it was if it was harmless I wanted to save it and let it wrap its self around the stick then sling it outside but I heard the rattle hiss and strike it hit the stick. It was just a baby it only had 1 nob at the end of its tail.

Someone suggested we get some guineas to keep snakes away, if thats true then I will get a few guineas and keep around here.

Glad you kids and you didn't get hurt!!!

Now if you don't want the skin I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it LOL I'm weird...

WOW! What a nightmare! Praise the Lord everyone is OK,.. but how do you think it got there?

I walked into our bathroom one morning to find a big snake coming out of our toilet,.. it had come through the septic system.. it was not poisonous and DH trapped it and released it outside. But it's been 3 years and I still can't go to the bathroom in the dark!
