i have some bad news

the duckling just passed away .
I have no idea what was wrong with it . it had been fine . I have always had ducks and have raised tons of babies .
I had refilled its little water bowl . (its big enough and dee enough for it to dip its beek in but not get into or anything like that)
I hopped in the shower and when i got out i looked in the brooder and i seen it wobbling agianst the side of the brooder box . So i picked it up and as soon as i did it starting flipping over on its back and kicking its legs . So i picked it up and it was kicking and then starting swinging its head back . And then it stopped kicking and just kept its head jerking back . And then he just stopped . He wasnt choking or gasping for air . I dont know what was wrong with the pore guy . After the tough hatch i thought WOOHOO he will be all set and can live a long and happy life with me on the my litte farm . Gues i was wrong

ohh man. i was really rooting for him. im so sorry. atleast you gave him a little bit of time on earth. poor duckie.. i had the same thing with one of my duckies... he got kidnaped by a coon.. his name was stewie... he will be loved in duckie heaven. im so sorry. really.

I just read this entire thread today and am so impressed with the knowledge here and the way everyone helps everyone else and roots for the babies...you found that rock for a reason -- who knows why -- but you met the challenge.

thanks so much guys , The little guy is really missed but hes in a better place .
Where i found the rock is usualy filled with ducks and geese and they usually had tons of babies by now but for some reason there isnt a bird on the water . There is just to many coons . I have found tons of broken eggs shells every where . You can tell they never hatched and had been eaten . Also there is usually tons of turkeys with babies by now and there isnt . The cyotes have just been wiping them out .

i have one Rock left . I belive its due saturday but i cant tell if its stil alive in the egg or not . I hope it is .
