I found my "Lost" Hen Goldie Today!

My buff orpington Goldie, had been missing for several days. I was certian a fox had swiped her or a coyote. My neighbor and I searched the small wooded area between our houses and found her. She was sitting on a nest she had made on the ground and had 20 eggs under her big fluffy butt! We moved her and the eggs back to the henhouse. I am so excited. She has been hangin' out with my big Light Brahma, "Bozo Rudy" I wonder what LB and Buff Orp mix chicks look like? Does anyone have any?
I'll post pics of the chicks when they hatch!

I was elated! She is a really sweet bird. She visits my neighbors yard every day and their baby grandson loves to see Rudy and Goldie scratching around the yard next to the garden. They feed their garden extras to my chickens. When she turned up "missing" we were so afraid one of the coyotes had carried her off. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when I picked her up and saw those eggs! My neighbor thought Goldie was dead. I told her Nope, she's just broody! She looked like a big, golden, baby blanket laying in the woods. These chickens are just spoiled rotten! I can't wait to see the babies.
It's never a dull moment around here.
