Your chicks are very cute. I don't think Licorice is a cuckoo maran - wrong comb type. I can't see Cookie's comb well enough to see what type she has.

Hey, that dominique is as old as mine, and the comb seems just as developed.
I heard from about 6 people in the message board that said it is a roo.

The whole family is sad about having to get rid of 'him'...

Does look like a dominique not a cuckcoo maran. That is a rose comb by the looks of it. Where did you get these chicks? Looking at oth my first thought were EEs.

They are awfully cute, especially in the second set of pictures, all snuggled up like that

Even if they are different breeds would they still end up getting baby chickens? because my friend really wants some of the baby chickens.
