The thread title may be misleading but still a mystery involving crops and circles.

I was moving plants around in my Tree Nursery and found these strange tunnels in the pots and what ever it was bored right through the pots making a perfect circle. The first one I thought maybe someone had drilled a hole in this nursery pot in a perfect circle and some digging critter just entered it and bored it way to the surface. Then the next 3 pots in a line had the same issue, one pot having 2 of these. The tunnels were perfect and clear/clean when I found them but I had to move the pots and that did degrade them a bit however the perfect circle (to the naked eye) that was bored out (or in) to the side of the pot remained because its plastic. I am providing pictures for anyone who can figure out what did this. Its very highly improbable that I had 3 pots in a row in my nursery that had these holes already drilled into them. If I did have 3 pots like that they wouldn't have ended up all next to each other especially as often as I move plants around, and besides I would have noticed it if I had that many.

I have no idea but watching for answers :pop:pop
I am going to ask the local garden shop guy who I grow these trees for. I am guessing someone local will likely know what does this. For now lets pretend its aliens so maybe I can be featured in some off the wall documentary. I am guessing its a rodent of some sort but I will pretend its a rodent from mars lol

this is a quote from someones whose judgement I trust, and he sent the mighty mole picture to me

"They look like 3 or 5 gallon pots looking at the pictures. The holes looked drilled for irrigation set ups in a commercial production line. The rodents just used the opportunity to tunnel up to the surface. Moles will eat plant roots."
