Well I have been getting 3 eggs a day for almost 2 weeks....they were all brown one day I got a white one and that was it. Well yesterday my neighbors white akita dog got away from her and chased and killed one of my RSL....I was so heart broken....I thought she might be one of my 3 layers. I went out to the coop and found my 3 eggs. So i was like ok. Then I watched one of my BSL hop up to sit on a package of the pine shavings. I tried to get her down and she pecked at me. I went to split the two bags and out drops an egg and breaks......I said OHHHH i see. I pushed the two squares back together, threw some boss in the coop. She flew down to get some BOSS. I found 9 eggs up there
!!! It looked like 3 days worth from 3 hens.....
I guess maybe i should put a nesting box up there....LOL
