I Found WHITE TRUFFLES In My Flower Bed!!

What a wonderful find!!!!! We have truffles under our oak trees here and the wild pigs come around at night and tear up the ground to get them. I've never cooked with them, either, but I'm sure you will come up with some great recipes between the great people here and snooping on the internet.

Truffles are one of those weird gourmet things, they give an earthy taste to whatever you put them in. Hard to describe, it's like trying to describe what foie gras is like.

I cooked with them for the first time this morning. My husband left early to go to his parents and pick up our smallest 2 that were with them. Only my oldest daughter was here for breakfast but I made her scrambled eggs with truffles

She said they were GOOOOOD eggs!! I don't eat scrambled eggs so I didn't eat them but you could clearly smell the truffles in the dish. I like fried eggs, can you put them on a fried egg?

I am going to do a chicken with truffles sometime this week.
