I gave a Turkey a Bath

Ok Before y'all go crazy on me this was a show bird. We Normally do not bathe them anymore but this one got into the oil and my son could not grip him to be able to show him

She didn't seen to mind it much. but getting oil off of feathers requires a large bottle of dawn detergent and a lot of patience. then we added some blueing just to bake him bright white! And the Blowdryer only makes them mad so she had to drip dry

Hey. You are surrounded by turkey lovers. Everything goes here. No problems from me. I love it !!!! I have bathed a many turkey before.

Poor turkey looks embarrassed to have been caught in the oil. Lol

Looks like he's enjoying himself. What was the end result.?

These are the only photos I have of her after.

This batch has all been processed for Thanksgiving.

We have 50 new chicks now.

This one is before the bath... We called her Dirty Bird never did we once think she would end up being the one we would take to show.

She ended up being 28 lbs dressed!
